This is an information for upper intermediate and advanced students of Japanese:
While at Maruzen in Sendai recently, I purchased a new magazine that may interest others as well.
It is called Step Nihongo ステップ日本語 and is similar to the no-longer-published Nihongo Journal. The only (major) difference is that it comes from Taiwan and is bilingual Japanese-Chinese (no English).
All the Japanese content has furigana.
Probably best for higher intermediate or advanced students (close to JLPT 2 or higher).
The publisher site in Chinese is www.hjtbook.com.tw.
It is available upon order in Japanese bookstores, who get it through JPT (the company that took over Yohan business). Sales price is 1200 Yen plus tax (comes with a CD). For your information, I purchased June edition at Maruzen and was able to order July edition (and upcoming ones) at a local bookstore here in Fukushima. So far I know, amazon.co.jp is not selling it.
Here is a link to the August edition:
